Nashville, TN - The Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman are set to embark on their first ever trip to Owosso Speedway in Owosso, MI on Saturday for the $3,000 to win Owosso Showdown. The event puts the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman head-to-head with the Owosso regulars of the Late Model Sportsman division. The home track of the $15,000 to win Masters of the Pros 185 for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour will host the CRA sanction for the first of five visits across three divisions on Saturday.

The trip to Owosso Speedway brings the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman into Michigan for the first time in 13 seasons. The last visit came during a stop at M-40 Speedway in 2011; Keith Sterkowitz grabbed the win over Jason Atkinson and Rick Everidge. Owosso Speedway was kind to some of CRA regular competitors in 2023, the first year under new ownership with continued improvements.

Entry List

Three time Winchester Speedway winner, Jon Beach is the defending track champion at Owosso in the Late Model Sportsman division. Beach secured the championship by 31 points at the end of the season.
