MIDWEST COMPACT TOURING SERIES FEATURED ON LOVES PARK MOTORSPORTS NIGHT
For the first time ever, the Midwest Compact Touring Series (MCTS) makes an appearance at Rockford Speedway this Saturday night, June 17 as part of Loves Park Motorsports Night at the Races. The MCTS brings four-cylinder drivers from places like Michigan, Indiana and Ohio to town and they’ll battle the best our region has to offer, with a 30 lap feature the main event of the evening for the MCTS. Joining the traveling four-cylinder racers this weekend are the Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models, Bargain Hunter Sportsman and Kickstart Roadrunners. Gates open at 5 PM this Saturday night, with racing set to begin at 7:07 PM. KIDS NIGHT AND ‘ALL STAR SATURDAY NIGHT’ ARE APPROACHING
Next Saturday night June 24 is Metro Medical Kids Night at Rockford Speedway, with Kids 11 and under admitted FREE! Plus next Saturday night features Kids Boxcar Races at Intermission. Kids are encouraged to make their own racecars out of boxes. The cars may resemble each kids favorite driver or may simply be a creation of each youngsters imagination. At Intermission, kids will be split into age groups for their respective Box Car Races! Racing on Metro Medical Kids Night includes the Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models, Bargain Hunter Sportsman, Miller Lite American Short Trackers and Kickstart Roadrunners. Gates open at 5, with racing at 7:07 PM. One week later, on Saturday night July 1, get set for a huge night of racing, with the return of the ARCA Midwest Tour for the Kar Korner All Star 100 and the ‘Star Spangled 76’ lap feature for the Stanley Steemer NASCAR Late Models. The Miller Lite American Short Trackers are set to join the Late Model double-header on ‘All Star Saturday Night.’ Roush Racing driver Ty Majeski and two-time National Short Track Champion Rich Bickle are expected among the Super Late Model entries, along with a host of the finest short track racers in America! FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA & ‘$5 FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT’ COMING UP
Before we know it, the calendar will read Independence Day and with that comes the return of a great tradition at Rockford Speedway, racing on July 4th! This year, 4th of July falls on a Tuesday night, which will showcase the ‘Fireworks Extravaganza.’ The highlight of course is the terrific Fireworks display, plus the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere for the Kickstart Roadrunners, ‘the race run in total darkness!’ The Bargain Hunter Sportsman and Miller Lite American Short Trackers are also part of the July 4 program, along with the Roadrunner Challenge ‘Flag Pole Race’ and One-on-One Spectacular Drags. A few days later, on Saturday July 8, Pepsi presents ‘$5 Fan Appreciation Night,’ where all admission is just $5! For just a $5 admission on Saturday July 8, you’ll see the “monsters of the schoolyard” as School Bus Racing returns to Rockford Speedway!Joining the buses are the Bargain Hunter Sportsman, Roadrunners, Illini Racing Series Midgets and American Super Cup Series. Gates open at 5 PM both nights, with the shows set to begin at 7:07 PM.
