WAYNESFIELD, Ohio (8/10/17) – Drivers, crews, and sponsors give back to their loyal fans this Saturday night at Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield, Ohio. Back-to-school time can be hectic for families with all the shopping needs of their children to start on the right foot for a new school year. The racing community wants to help with shopping by giving back to their loyal race fans. Backpacks filled with school supplies will line the front stretch to be given away to school-aged kids in attendance. In years previous, members of the racing community have compiled 150 plus backpacks to be given away.
In addition to backpacks, drivers of the five weekly classes will be on hand to sign autographs along the front stretch. Indian Lake Outfitters of Lakeview, Ohio will be celebrating their night at the races. They will be assisting with the weekly race inversion. The winner of the final heat race in each class will have the opportunity to shoot a bow and arrow in the infield. The result of their arrow shot will determine the A-main starting line-up.
A full program of racing will accompany the family night of fun. The Satellite Connections UMP Modifieds will headline the event running for $1000 to win. The Quest Federal Credit Union Non Wing Sprints, Performance Powder Coating AMSA Mini Sprints, Block Insurance Tough Trucks, and Indian Lake Outfitter Compacts will also be in attendance. The Block Insurance Tough Trucks will also host a 10 lap A-main for the ladies of the racing community. The yearly Powder Puff race will feature a fun exhibition race to end the night of racing.
Adult general admission is just $12. Kids aged 11-15 years old are admitted for $6 with everyone under the age of 10 admitted for free. Pit passes are available for $25. Pit side gates open at 4PM; grandstands at 5PM. Cars hit the track for hot laps at 6PM with the first green flag of the night flying at 7PM.
