Friday Racing

Farmer City Raceway Shannon Babb got by Billy Moyer on the final lap to win the $5000 to win ALMS Late Model feature. Josh Griffith (Street Stock) and Skyller Lewis (PLM) also won features on the final night of racing. Kevin Weaver (LM), AJ May (PLM), Matt Maier (SS), Mike Chasteen Jr. (Mod.), Jordon Smith (B-Mod), and Dion Smith (Hornets) were crowned as track champions.

Grundy County Speedway Ricky Baker edged Eddie Hoffman in a photo finish to win the Lee Schuler Memorial race for Late Models on Sunday. Racing will resume on Sept. 15 for the Bettenhausen 100 for Late Models. Qualifying starts at 5:30 and racing at 7.

Kankakee County Speedway This week the track will host the “Kankakee Chaos Crash and Bash Thrill Show. Gates will open at 5:30. Racing will take place every Friday thru out the month of September. For more information call the track at (815) 935-9000.

Lincoln Speedway Jeremy Nichols (SS), Steve Mattingly (Sportsman), Brian Lynn (Mod), Ryan Little (PLM), Chase McDermond (Midgets), and Adam Webb (Hornets) took race wins as the track concludes their season. Lynn claimed his 11th Modified title at the speedway. Other champions include Nichols and Guy Taylor (PLM).

Saturday Racing

Fairbury American Legion Speedway Following a well-deserved break, racing will resume on Oct. 5-6 as the speedway welcomes the IRA/MOWA Winged Sprint Cars and Wisconsin Wingless Sprint Cars. Hot lap start at 6, with all the racing to follow.

LaSalle Speedway The Bill Waite Jr. Memorial race takes place on Sept. 23. Winged Sprints will have a $6000 to win race, UMP Late Models return in a $5000 to battle, and the Wisconsin Wingless Sprint Car will also be on the program. The track phone is (815) 223-6900.
