Fall Brawl at Lucas Oil Raceway Up Next for the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman


Salem, IN (September 29, 2021) – The Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Powered by JEGS will continue their 2021 season this Saturday in the Allgaier Performance Parts Fall Brawl at the famed Lucas Oil Raceway, located just outside of Indianapolis in Brownsburg, Indiana. The Fall Brawl event has become a very popular stock car racing event in central Indiana with each feature winner getting an event signature trophy that includes a pair of boxing gloves. The Fall Brawl event was revamped for the 2021 event by Lucas Oil Raceway, it will be a one day show on Saturday with evening feature racing under the lights.

Jeff Marcum picked up the win in the series 2021 season opener at Anderson Speedway on April 17th, leading 74 laps of the 75-lap event. Austin Coe picked up his first series win of the 2021 season at the series second event at Mt. Lawn Speedway on May 23rd, holding off a hard charging Billy Hutson to get the close win. Cassten Everidge picked up his first ever series win in the series third event of the season on June 5th at Winchester Speedway. Defending series Champion Billy Hutson picked up the win in the series event at Angola Motor Speedway on July 10th. Marcum became the first two time series winner in 2021 in the series event at Anderson Speedway on August 14th. Hutson returned to victory lane in the series’ last event at Anderson on September 18th.

Hutson, the 2007 and 2020 series Champion, was the series Regular Season Champion in 2021 and is one of four Chase for the Championship drivers set to compete for the series Championship at Winchester Speedway on Saturday, October 16th, as long as he competes in Saturday’s race at Lucas Oil Raceway. Hutson will be seeking to claim his record third series Championship, he is currently tied with Charlie Hanna and Keith Sterkowitz, all three currently have two series Championships a piece.

The other three series 2021 Chase for the Championship drivers includes Winchester winner Everidge, leading series rookie Kyle Worley and J. P. Crabtree. All three of those drivers are seeking their first CRA and series Championship.

Thanks to Vore’s Welding & Steel the first-place payout for Saturday’s event and the series Season Championship event at Winchester Speedway will each pay $1,500 to win. In addition, Vore’s Welding & Steel will pay bonuses for the best combo finishes from both races, which will be $500 for first, $300 for second and $200 for third. Also, CRA officials will do a random draw at the Winchester event drivers meeting for four $100 bonuses from Vore’s Welding & Steel from the drivers that attend both events. In all, Vore’s Welding & Steel is adding $2,000 to the payoff of those two events!

Pit gates open on Saturday at 10am. Practice will begin at 2pm with each division getting two sessions. The CRA Late Model Sportsman will have group qualifying beginning at 4:30pm. Racing will begin at 6pm on Saturday and will include the Allgaier Performance Parts Fall Brawl 40 for the Vore’s Welding & Steel CRA Late Model Sportsman. Also racing Saturday night will be the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, the Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks and the Vore’s Compact Touring Series.
