BOSS WINGLESS SPRINTS JOIN MONTPELIER SPEEDWAY 2022 SCHEDULE

BOSS WINGLESS SPRINT CARS ADDED TO MONTPELIER 2022 MIX

April 23 Visit Will Kick Off 2022 BOSS Campaign

MONTPELIER, IN (January 24) – While the focus of the Montpelier Motor Speedway 2022 season will be upon the weekly UMP Modified, Super Stock, Street Stock and Hornet divisions, a few special events have been added including a return of the BOSS (Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series) wingless Sprint Cars on April 23.

Aaron Fry, founder and director of BOSS stated, “the BOSS tour drivers are very excited to be returning to Montpelier Motor Speedway after a 3-year hiatus. In our four previous visits to the Hoosier speed plant the racing was incredible as Robert Ballou, Shane Cottle, Thomas Meseraull and Dallas Hewitt visited victory lane.”

For BOSS, headquartered in Ohio, the April 23 visit to Montpelier, Indiana will be the opening round of their ambitious 2022 tour.  Continued Fry, “it is very rare for BOSS to open the season outside of its home state. This shows the high regard with which we hold Montpelier Motor Speedway and its new management.”

After being shuttered at the onset of the 2021 season, veteran promoter Larry Boos stepped in to take reign of the 3/8-mile Montpelier clay oval.

“We remain committed to our goal of creating a solid base for weekly racing, but as our team grows stronger, we have become comfortable with bringing in additional shows,” acknowledged Boos. “The BOSS group mixes well with our growth approach, and we welcome their return to see if we can produce a fifth different winner.”

A complete 2022 slate of events for Montpelier Motor Speedway is being finalized for release soon.
