Jurkovic among entries for Monday’s “Money in the Bank 150”

Grand Rapids, Mich.—Winner already of two early-season late model specials this year at Berlin Raceway, Illinois’ Boris Jurkovic is among the entries for this Monday’s “Money in the Bank 150 presented by Primera Plastics” ARCA/CRA Super Series event at the seven-sixteenths-mile paved oval.
The non-points ARCA/CRA 150 lapper will pay $20,000 to the winner. Previous winners of the race include Michigan’s Brian Campbell last year and Georgia’s Bubba Pollard in 2017.
Campbell and Pollard, along with the likes of Travis Braden, Donnie Wilson, Johnny VanDoorn and Tom Thomas, are among 28 entries.
Jurkovic will wheel his Reliable Recovery Services Inc. /Rowdy Manufacturing-sponsored Toyota Camry No. 53 in Monday’s competition. The 49-year-old speedster, who hails from Manhattan, Ill., will be shooting for his third straight late model stock car special victory at the Berlin oval, which is located some seven miles west of Grand Rapids.
Jurkovic began his late model racing career at the now-shuttered Illiana Motor Speedway in Schererville, Ind., in 1996. He was the speedway’s “rookie of the year” in 1997 and won the Illiana track championship in 2002. Jurkovic was a two-time winner of Illiana’s annual Tony Bettenhausen Memorial 100 Classic.
During his speed career which has included a few starts on the NASCAR Truck tour, Jurkovic has won several prestigious late model events including the All American 200 in Nashville, Tenn., in 2006 and the Winchester 400 at Indiana’s Winchester Speedway in 2011.
In addition to the ARCA/CRA 150 –lap chase, Main Event Outlaw late models will compete in a 60-lap feature.
Qualifying Monday begins at 3:45 pm (Eastern Time) with racing getting underway at 6:30 pm (ET).
