Route 66 Speedway Season Finale

Pontiac, IL. (October 19, 2008) - The Route 66 speedway in Pontiac concluded their 2008 racing season on Sunday with the largest event in recent history. 78 karters from across Illinois and Indiana converged on the 1/10 mile dirt oval. 9 classes ran with several running for addition money.

The next scheduled event will be the banquet where drivers will honored.

The banquet will be held on November 9 at the Bowling Center on Route 24 in Fairbury. It opens at 4, all you can eat and drink starts at 4:30, awards at 5:30, and open bowling at 6:00.

Nathan Pribble #4 took the lead with 2 to go in a highly competitve race

Karters, crews, and fans overflowed the track on Sunday.


Aaron Parrish was a double winner taking the stock medium race
sponsored by Mitch Mercer and family.


The clones made their 2nd apperance and after the dust had settled Chase Spitzer won the $75 plus sponsored by Rocky Ragusa Photography.


Cadet action finds 12 Joseph Opper battling early with Jacob Opper.


Jessica "the bullet" Hamilton made her 1st apppearnce a succesfull one as turned back the challenge 2008 track champion Shawn O'Neill.


Pontiac's own Jayden Jones got his 1st career win in the Cadet Class
sponsored by Rocky Ragusa Photography.


In a caution filled event, Cullen Breeden survived to pick up
the win in the junior 3 racer.
