2017 Madison Speedway Triple Crown Dates
 and Rule Package Announced

Oregon, WI- The 2017 Super Late Model Triple Crown Challenge dates for Madison International Speedway were announced recently.

Friday Night June 2 will play host to round number one, as 2016 Triple Crown Champion Casey Johnson is expected to defend his title against top Super Late Model competitors from at least four states on Wisconsin’s Fastest Half Mile.  Round 2 will be contested on Friday July 7 and ‘The Howie 50’ will determine the Triple Crown Champion on Friday Night August 18.

“The Triple Crown has provided some great races since it started in 2012 and we are already getting calls and text messages from top teams that are putting it on their calendars for 2017.” Stated Speedway co-owner Gregg McKarns.

New for this upcoming season, the Triple Crown will follow ARCA Midwest Tour Rules, allowing for greater ease for teams wanting to compete.  Each 50 lap feature will pay $1,500 to win and $500 to start in addition to a $3,000 point fund spread across the top five in championship points.

Pit gates will open at 3:30pm each night with practice at 5pmand time trials at 6:15pm.  Racing is slated to begin at 7:30pm for each Triple Crown event.

The 2017 season will begin on Sunday afternoon May 7 when the ARCA Midwest Tour ‘Stars and Cars’ invade Madison for the Joe Shear Classic.  Weekly NASCAR Whelen All-American Series action will kick off its season on Friday night May 19.  For additional information visit www.misracing.com or call 608-835-9700.
