Kankakee County Speedway launches new
website for the 2009 season
Kankakee, IL (October 2, 2008) - Kankakee County Speedway,
formerly known as Kankakee Motor Speedway, is proud to announce
that it has unveiled a brand new website for race fans and drivers
alike to go to for up-to-date information such as Schedule of
Events, Points Standings, Rules, Weekly Results, Track Information,
Directions, Payout Information, Photos, and a Message Board still
in the works.
The new web address is www.kankakeecountyspeedway.com
With the new name it is our hope to carve out our own identity
to co-exist with the long and rich tradition of exciting dirt
stock car racing in the Illiana region. Our goal is to provide
"professional style entertainment" for the "professional
racers" and their fans of old and new.
A new name, identity, and attitude, along with new objectives
will be the catalyst for our success. On behalf of all the
members of the Kankakee County Fair Board, the entire speedway
staff, and myself, we hope you enjoy the racing and wish to see
you again and again throughout the coming years.
Kankakee County Speedway will host a full program of racing that
includes UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, Street Stocks, and I-Mods,
along with Thunder Cars and Hornets, both of which are meant
to be an entry level class.
Twenty-two race dates are already planned with the possibility
of several more as we move down the road.
Kankakee County Speedway racing action takes place at the Kankakee
County Fairgrounds, located 1 mile south of I-57 at Exit 308,
each and every Friday night from April thru September.
